Families for Body Acceptance was founded in 2021 by the mother of a girl who thought she was a boy. After meeting other parents like her, she learned how few resources there are for families of gender-questioning children. With the help of many parents and family members, FBA was born.
FBA members believe that every child should grow up accepting their own body and sex. No child is born in the wrong body. We aim to help families receive evidence-based facts about gender dysphoria.
We are concerned with transgender identities becoming trendy, pressuring young people into harming themselves with hormones or surgery only to regret it later. We have seen the recent growth of phenomena like rapid-onset gender dysphoria, which now affects too many children to stay quiet. We hope to take action by uniting parents concerned with this alarming trend.
